A map of dead bird distribution in NWMAD will be updated periodically and can be viewed at the following link: Dead bird map Please be advised these dead birds have not been tested for WNV and we do not know for certain the cause of mortality.  This information is but one component used in conjunction with our mosquito and virus surveillance as well as human and equine information provided by Cook County Department of Public Health and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
