Field Supervisor 

Desirable Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Knowledgeable in the implementation of an Integrated Pest Management program related to mosquito control.

  • Ability to manage a team in multiple mosquito control programs.  

  • Proficiency in the use of Geographic Information Systems (using the ESRI platform).

  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work including pesticide safety and application according to law.

  • Ability to meet such physical requirements as may be established by a competent authority.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Polite and professional demeanor.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Associate Degree or equivalent college education required

  • A Motor Vehicle Record that complies with District policy and a valid Illinois Driver’s License

  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

  • At least two years experience in mosquito control

  • Able to obtain an Illinois Department of Agriculture operator license within 30 days of hire

  • Able to lift, bend, twist, walk while carrying weight exceeding 50lbs

  • Able to walk long distances over uneven terrain for periods exceeding 2 hours

  • Able to work out of any of three district facilities when required: Elk Grove, Hoffman Estates, and Wheeling

Fleet Facility Technician Assistant

Desirable Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to carry out physically demanding labor

  • Some knowledge of common processes, materials and tools used in repair of motor driven and mechanical equipment

  • Possession of valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work

  • Ability to meet such physical requirements as may be established by a competent authority.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Polite and professional demeanor

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Associate Degree or equivalent college education preferred. Must have High School diploma or equivalent

  • A Motor Vehicle Record that complies with District policy and a valid Illinois Driver’s License

  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

  • At least two years experience in automotive repair including small engine repair

  • Able to obtain an Illinois Department of Agriculture operator license within 30 days of hire

  • Able to lift, bend, twist, walk while carrying weight exceeding 50lbs

  • Able to walk long distances over uneven terrain for periods exceeding 2 hours

  • Able to work out of any of three district facilities when required: Elk Grove, Hoffman Estates, and Wheeling
