Treatment Programs

These programs make it easier to target different disease-borne and nuisance mosquitoes, creating a solid integrated mosquito management plan for the Northwest Suburbs of Cook County.

DAYTIME LARVICIDING

Control of mosquito larvae in swamps, ditches, ponds, and other open containers of water

ADULTICIDING
(NIGHT SPRAY)

Control of adult mosquitoes around forest preserves and residential areas

Request a technician to come and inspect any standing water, treatment of sewer, or other mosquito related problems. 

NPDES Permit

Northwest Mosquito Abatement District applies for a NPDES permit every three years. The permit allows NWMAD to implement a larvicide plan to control the mosquito population. Learn more about the permit on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency websites.
